Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Stage Key app ("the App"), made by Hersey Social Ltd ("we", "us"), does with information. The short version: the App listens through your microphone to work out musical keys and chords, does that entirely on your device, and does not collect personal data.

Microphone audio

Stage Key needs microphone access to work. Audio is analysed in real time, on your device, to estimate the key and chords of the music around you. Audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to us or to anyone else. When you close the App or it goes to the background, listening stops.

Information we collect

None. The App has no account, no sign-in, and does not ask for your name, email, location or contacts. It does not use advertising identifiers.

Third-party services

The App does not currently include analytics, crash reporting or advertising SDKs. If a future version adds a service such as crash reporting, we will update this policy before it ships and describe what that service receives.

App store data

Apple and Google may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics about downloads and crashes through their developer consoles. That data is governed by their own privacy policies.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and, because it collects no personal data, no such data is knowingly processed.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about App users, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, contact us and we will look into it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be noted in the App's store listing.
